Textbook Ordering

HOW DO I FIND THE BOOKS I NEED FOR A SPECIFIC CLASS

  • Click on Textbook Lookup in the blue bar at the top of the screen
  • Click the Academic Term you wish to purchase books for
  • Click on the Department for the Course you wish to purchase books for
  • Click on the Course number and name for the Course you wish to purchase books for
  • Click on the Section of the Course you wish to purchase books for


CAN I RENT MY BOOKS?

For many books, the answer is yes.  Please see Rental Program under "Questions? Answers!" for more information.


WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO PAY WITH MY STUDENT ACCOUNT?

We will contact the Student Account office.  They will let us know if you have a credit available to pay for the order.  If you do not have the available credit, you will receive an email notifying you that your order has been cancelled. 


WHAT IF I HAVE A GIFT CARD, BUT IT WILL NOT PAY FOR THE ENTIRE ORDER?

  • Fill in the gift card information.  
  • Check No after the question “Is your Gift Card balance sufficient to pay for your order?  You will then need to select another payment method to pay for your order -- and add your gift card number to the "Gift Card #" field below. The value of your Gift Card will be deducted from your order when we process it at the bookstore.”
  • A drop-down will open for you to enter a credit card in addition to the gift card.


HELP, I DON’T KNOW THE BALANCE OF MY GIFT CARD, HOW CAN I FIND IT?

Just stop by the bookstore and ask the cashier to check the balance for you.

If you are using the gift card for an online order – answer no to the question “Is your Gift Card balance sufficient to pay for your order?” and enter a credit card.  If the gift card will cover the entire balance your credit card will not be charged.


WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHOOSE “PLEASE REMOVE ANY UNAVAILABLE ITEMS FROM MY ORDER”?      

If we cannot fill you order exactly as you requested (new or used condition) you will receive an email and the item will be removed from your order.


WHAT HAPPENS IF I CHOOSE “PLEASE REPLACE MY SELECTION WITH A NEW/USED VERSION IF IT IS NOT IN STOCK.  THIS MAY AFFECT MY ORDER TOTAL.”?

  • We will fill your order with the condition you requested if possible.
  • If we are unable to fill the order with the condition you requested, we will fill you order with the same book but a different condition.
  • You will need to accept the following: “You have chosen to allow for substitutions if your new/used choices are not available. This means that your card will be temporarily authorized for a higher dollar amount based on new book prices. This authorization will temporarily show up on your credit card as a pending transaction, but you will only be charged a final dollar amount based on the availability of new/used materials.”
  • This means there will be a pending transaction on your account for the total if you were to purchase all your books new.  How long this pending transaction will stay on your account is determined by your bank or credit card company.  You will be charged the amount for the actual books you receive when your order is completed.


WHY WAS MY CREDIT/DEBIT CARD WAS CHARGED A DIFFERENT AMOUNT THAN THE AMOUNT ON MY ORDER?

Please see the above question:  What happens if I choose “Please replace my selection with a new/used version if it not in stock.  This may affect my order total.”?


WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT ONCE I PLACE MY ORDER?

You will receive an order confirmation email that the order has been placed.  When your order has been processed and is ready to be picked up or shipped you will receive an email, stating that your order is complete and has been processed.


WHERE SHOULD I GO TO PICK UP MY ORDER?

Please stop by the bookstore during regular business hours and go to the back corner under the sign that says ORDER PICK-UP HERE. 


WHAT INFORMATION WILL I NEED TO PICK UP MY ORDER?

You will need your student ID and your order number.  The order number will be found in the email you received letting you know your order is ready for pick-up.


CAN SOMEONE ELSE PICK UP MY ORDER?

Sure.  Include the individual’s name in the comment section or send us their name from your Trinity email to bookstoreorders@trnty.edu.  Be sure to let them know the order number and your name (the name on the order).


I HAD MY ORDER SHIPPED AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED IT YET.  WHERE IS IT?

After you receive your order Complete email, the order will be sent to the mail and print center and will be shipped.  You will then receive an email from Pitney Bowes with your tracking information.   Please check your spam or junk folder if you can’t find the tracking email.
